Always looking for talking points for lessons in leadership. Our P6 students (and P5) love to learn about American leaders. Our sponsors donated books about Lincoln and Martin Luther King. We watched “The Diary of Anne Frank” as we learned about the Holocaust. And, of course, studied about the United Nations (which has special meaning in Africa).

I bought the Three Days at the Brink by Bret Baier because it offered a “Young Readers’ Edition”. I previewed it and learned so much. Fascinating description about the discussions preparing for D-Day.

Watched “Saving Private Ryan” as a possible demonstration….but way too violent for my kids (ages 12-13).
