Dancers danced, actors acted, models modeled…and Cadets marched! It was awesome. The Cadets marched with precision and the audience of parents, teachers and staff were mesmerized as Julius counted and led the Cadets in a perfectly timed exhibition.
I have always called Julius “Orange Julius” as a term of endearment. Julius knew why and what memories it brought to me…so we always smiled wide together as I teased him. But today, Julius showed up as a new, sharper, almost grown up leader of the Cadets. What happened to my little boy?
I was beaming with pride as you can see, and Mary as well. Even our distinguished guest, Reverend Sister from St. Joseph the Worker, agreed.
With God’s grace, our Cadets will soon be marching in the President’s March 6 Independence Day Parade.
